  • The bulb remover tool helps you to safely remove your CFL bulb from recessed lighting cans without the risk of breaking the glass tubes in your hand and breathing harmful mercury vapors.
  • The remover can be used manually by hand or with an extension pole (not included) to remove and install 4-Pin CFL Bulbs
  • The top and bottom rings keep the bulb from falling out of the remover when removing and installing the bulb, so you never have to handle the glass tubes.
Assembly Instructions:
  • Install the 1/2" tall ring on the lower part of the bulb remover. This will remain on the bulb remover for removing or installing the 4-Pin CFL Bulbs. The 3/8" tall ring is only used on the upper part of the bulb remover when installing the 4-Pin CFL Bulbs.
Instructions for hand use:
  • Turn the power off to the lights.
  • Insert the remover tool up towards the base of the bulb.
  • Angle the remover tool so the tips of the arms slide against the ceramic base to spread the arms open.
  • Once the arms spread open, push the remover up to slip over the lip of the base of the bulb.
  • You may have to wiggle the bulb side-to-side or front-to-back to loosen the bulb pins from the socket.
  • Pull downward using the finger hole slot on the bottom of the remover tool.
Instructions for extension pole use:
  • Turn the power off to the lights.
  • Attach remover to the extension pole.
  • Insert the remover tool up towards the base of the bulb.
  • Angle the remover tool so the tips of the arms slide against the ceramic base to spread the arms open.
  • Once the arms spread open, push the remover up to slip over the lip of the base of the bulb.
  • Pull downward to remove the bulb.
Instructions to install bulb:
  • Install the 3/8" ring onto the remover before installing the bulb.
  • Insert the bulb into the remover so the ceramic base of the bulb sits on top of the tips of the remover.
  • Slide the 3/8" ring up on both sides of the arms to secure the bulb in place.
  • Insert bulb into the lamp socket aligning the pins into the holes.
  • Firmly push the bulb into the socket.
This tool was designed to remove 26 Watt 4-Pin Triple Tube Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs from recessed ceiling cans.
The bulbs measure 4-3/4". The remover will not work with longer versions of this type of bulb.
